Featured Content: National Ice Cream Day 2019

July 9, 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed Presidential Proclamation 5219 designating the month of July as National Ice Cream Month, and the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day.

“Ice cream is a nutritious and wholesome food, enjoyed by over ninety percent of the people in the United States. It enjoys a reputation as the perfect dessert and snack food. Over eight hundred and eighty-seven million gallons of ice cream were consumed in the United States in 1983.” President Ronald Reagan, Proclamation 5219 - National Ice Cream Month and National Ice Cream Day, 1984  This was in volume 98 of the United States Statutes at Large.

TRAIL (Technical Report Archive and Image Library)  

A FDLP partner, TRAIL identifies, acquires, catalogs, digitizes and provides unrestricted access to U.S. Government agency technical reports. TRAIL currently has over three dozen member institutions, including GPO, whose membership fees and volunteered staff time further the efforts of the project.
