2020 Census And How It Will Impact Libraries
The 2020 Census will determine the distribution of over $675 billion in annual allocations to communities. This will be the first time the Census will offer an online self-response option. With 25% of housing units without internet connectivity, these individuals may be using library resources to respond. This webinar discusses the complexities of the Census and how libraries can assist in helping secure an accurate count in their communities.
Impact of COVID 19 to 2020 Census Operations
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the U.S. Census Bureau has adjusted 2020 Census operations in order to: protect the health and safety of the American public and Census Bureau employees; implement guidance from Federal, State, and local authorities regarding COVID-19; and ensure a complete and accurate count of all communities. Extended operations and new initiatives will be discussed to successfully count everyone living in the country, once and in the right place.
